I honestly don't know, i got a call about getting a set of alphas for the new engine and I asked what the guy was doing with his old engine because I wanted one for display purposes.
this guy dont learn more pics could u please. would love to the rest of it
This is why people call these engine "throw away". Not much is salvaged when they come apart.
What was the final verdict on the cause of your failure? How is she running now?
I believe it overboosted. I manually shifted the tiptronic from first to second. Immediately after the shift... she died and the dash lit up like a Christmas tree... but what a rush! It was mixed feelings like the down hill run on the worlds fastest roller coaster and derailing at the last second!
She is running GREAT now! Same equipment on a fresh engine... about 625hp at the crank! Yee ha!
That may be the most comprehensively destroyed engine I have ever seen.. Good GRIEF!!!!

I have not heard of or seen worse! Blowing an engine is always BAD... but having nothing to rebuild is even WORSE!
we'll find out...after that carbide bit comes in so we can grind the block enough to get some movement out of the rod that looks like a 'U' so we can rotate the crank to get the 4 remaining pistons out so we can split the case
the damage is far far more extensive than the pics i posted show
I found pieces of piston in the intake manifold!!
