2nd try..need some advice
I'm in the market for my 1st porsche. In my price point I'm looking at 996. I found a 01 996tt with 48k miles polar silver with blue interior(not sure about color name) it has all maintenance and its in good shape they are asking $42. I guess my ? Is that a fair price the prices are all over the place so I don't screwed also is that a popular color combo I'm not digging the interior but it is different. I wanna thank everyone for there help I'm learning a lot reading this forum.

If you're not digging the interior, I would wait for exactly what you do dig. Can't really change out all of the interior later - if it kinda bugs you now, it will massively bug you later.
Sorry, can't help you on the price research. Bone stock?

I had that color combo previously. It's a bit 80's but it grew on me. The metropol blue leather was ok. Was the carpet I had trouble gettin used to.
42 sounds a bit high for an 01 w 50k+ miles but if it's clean inside/out? and you like it?
Hammer down. GL!

You could've kept this in the other thread.
What's the KBB say for how much that car is worth?
If I were you, I would just wait and find the right one. The interior may grow on you, but what if it doesn't?
Between dealers, cars.com and craigslist, I think I looked at every 911 turbo in CA. Provide it was a similar year, didn't specifically say cabrio or auto/tiptronic of course. I just picked up a 2003 with 26k miles on it for 52k.

I'm not really sure what I want that's,the problem I gotta work out. I think a 996tt or 996 C4S is what I'm looking for in the low to mid $40s the tt will have more miles so I think that's my only issue with this car in particular. It's not a lot of miles for its year but more than I like when buying a used car

How long have you been looking? If you wait longer to see what else is out there, you could also save up some more $$$ and pick up one with lower mileage but a little more expensive.

Well just checked his website he lowered the car to $40k. It sounds like a good deal. What I want & what I can afford is my issue also as is everyone. He is very reputable porsche mechanic in the area so that's part of why I'm looking at his cars. I have been looking for a couple months and everything I've looking at hasn't been well maintained as well as his vehicles. I really appreciate all the input
