CF Hood Options

So a little while back I was driving down the highway and I was hit by a foot long piece of pipe. Fortunately (in some regards) it hit my hood and bounced away but it did a solid number to the hood...

I figure this is the Car Gods telling me it's time for some weight reduction. I've been searching the forums and I've noticed that Deft Racing seems to have a good quality offering but they don't seem to want to actually sell me one. Apparently International Shipping doesn't include us Canadians... And now when I ask about a PO Box they've stopped answering... strange way to do business but I digress.

Is anyone else running a CF hood? If so what brand and what are your thoughts on it?

The stock hood is actually fairly light, I want to say 10-15 pounds ..

CF hood with hardware would probably be 5-10 pounds .. I know there are few threads on the weight difference if you search.

Hit sambott up. Pretty sure he had a cf hood on his 96t. Also 2nd the Precision Porsche nod. if they have it it'll fit right.

Thanks for the feedback guys, I'll certainly avoid the VIS hood. Might have to go with Getty as the Deft Racing guys won't even respond to me and clearly have no interest in selling me a hood.

Doesn't look like Precision 911 (formally Precision Porsche) makes CF hoods sadly. I would have jumped on that since I've heard only good things.

Do you need hood pins with the Getty hood?

Cf hoods usually end up being 10-15lbs. Some require pins some don't. I know there is an OEM fit w/ oem bracket points so it works like stock just trying to figure out where I saw it. Getty one is direct fit.
