I actually drove around in 6th gear at 45 mph today on the icy, slippery, scary as all muthereffer roads in NY in the pouring rain.

Yeah... I'm in business for myself, restoring an old farmhouse and adjacent buildings, have 2 teenage girls with music, volleyball, etc etc. Not to mention SWMBO. Know how it is.
I was actually replying more to support ard as many other posters were just shouting 'throw money at it'. Sounds like you have a plan. Hope it's not anything serious and your P enjoyment continues for a long time to come.

Thanks for the follow up, its all good! Sounds like life is good in France. Its been a while since I've been to Europe, I have tools, will travel to work on old farmhouses...

I actually need help here. My carpenter has been busy with another project for months and 2 other 'regulars' that were often here doing all sorts of stuff haven't had enough time in the past weeks either. I do an awful lot myself, but doing everything alone sucks. Working vacation in France?
