How much for a pull out motor?

Some of you might remember that I blew up a little more than a year ago. I have been busy with some other projects and career stuff so I let the car sit for a while. I am now tearing it down and am considering my options. What did you pay for a pull out? Any suggestions on where to look would be helpful also. Thanks!

my mistake was thinking actually pulling it out! is yours toast? worth doing a rebuild instead of a junk yard motor in the end

I will see how much damage in the next few weeks, I would love to do a rebuild if possible.

If the case isn't cracked you can repair or replace any internals

^^ agree, all else being equal, i'd sure rather rebuild my "known" commodity, than buy someone else pulled god knows what!

basic build would be rods, headbolts and full gasket bearing kit, 997 lifters. approx 11000$ with labor. of course if pistons, crank or head parts are needed the cost will go up. but you will have a stronger better built engine than any pullout and you will know its done right. just my .02

I have no oil pressure and oil on the ground, so my guess is that the bottom is toast with a hole in the block. The dead piston did not hit the valves however, so I think my top is ok. It seized as I shifted and the computer would not let it rev up again so I shut it off as it was idling. So I believe the heads are good. What can I sell them for?

rod broke and poked a hole in the top of cases. the broken rod whipped around the case and took out the oil pump/ims hence the lack of oil psi. Just my guess there.
