Hood stuck. Need help.
The hood on my GT2 is stuck shut and it seems either the locking mechanism or actuator is shot. That said, I cannot get the hood open. I believe there should be an emergency release in the passengers side wheel well but I cannot locate it. To make matters worse the wheel locks are in the trunk and I cannot get to them to take the wheels off so my access to the wheel well is limited.
So, where is the damn emergency release! And if my car doesn't have one how do I open the hood? Advice...Suggestions....Anything!
Thanks.

what happened to your "other" thread on this?! lol.
the emergency catch is located just behind the wheel liner of the passenger side. it's just a "looped" catch wire that triggers the latch when the mechanism is denied "power" assist. it loops up thru the front bumper in front and as i noted in your other thread, i've left it accessible just by digging around in the frunk opening of the front liner with a needle nose plier or whatever.
you shouldn't have to mess with the wheels to open the liner up? just hard lock them left.
