Yes the Aprilia is a fast track orientated bike. Here's an enlarged pic I took of it on my mac. The headlights and the center intake are what make me think it may be an Aprilia.

If the bike launches in second, you may have a chance.

Common guys, don't rule out the positive side of things. Our cars weigh much more and still compete. You may just need a new air filter if you lose first round.

It was a roll at about 70.

My car is not stock.

I'm saying I walked him pretty badly.

From a 70 mph roll, fast cars definitely have a chance versus a bikes. The poor aero of a bike takes away some of the advantage they have in power to weight ratio. It's also much harder to extract the maximum from the bike (being in the right gear, launching, etc.).

70mph would be close, by 100mph the car will start pulling by 140mph it's bye bye bike.

I used to beat 600-750cc sportbikes all the time with my Supra. If was always funny to see their face. The riders thought my Supra had to be making 1,000+whp to beat them. It was only making 540whp.

Don't race a bike from 30-100 mph though.

Later, Steve

Alleykat is on a distinguished road
I don't think its an Aprilia for 2 reasons.

#1 it looks like an R6 to me from what I can tell.

#2 Aprilias are not bought by posers "squids" who wear no riding gear. Those guys are ok with buying any entry level jap bike not a Aprilia.

A Ducati 1199 can beat a Porsche 918 btw

Had that guy turned on wheelie control he could have got a better lead.

Had a race with a 2002 GSXR1000 on the way back from the Nurburgring on Saturday, ran him twice from 70-80 and pulled away easily, we both ended up doing 170+ then ran him from 2nd, just stayed with him in 2nd, pulled next to him in 3rd and just pulled away in 4th !!!!
