So an update. Have close to 8,000 miles on the thing. Pretty hiccup free.
Have added a set of Ccw classics since last update and have some parts waiting to go in (trans mount -997, wevo motor mounts, 997 shifter)
Need to get a new clutch put in, this one isn't really acting up, just doesn't grip that great.
Also starting to get 2nd gear pop out. Gonna try ball bearing fix but I think it's gonna need a rebuild.
Best part has been the fun with kids. They love the thing. It was getting tight to have my 3yo son behind me so I ordered the deactivation air bag kit and have moved my 5yo daughter to the front in a 5 pt seat.
We just got done with a 900 mile trip together to LA and back. Survived 115 degree weather and all.
Warning. Don't put a 5yo strapped in next to you for 6.5 hours. It's like a bad acid trip

LOL awesome to see how much you use and enjoy the ride man. Jeez you were here for the hottest few days of the year! She is sooo cute. I'll take the acid trip moments over the "less enthusiastic" ones any day! In a minivan you can't hit boost to break the monotony

Oh, sam's going to dip into my car funds soon. My dad took my car out for a drive about 3 months ago after I had the tune and exhaust done....he was so pissed that my car was faster this his 997S that he just ordered a 991.2 Turbo S just to make sure he was faster......
Gonna need a lot of help to try to keep up

Your dad is NOT playing if he ordered a 991.2! Those things are fast.
What clutch are you thinking of going with next? Which one do you have in there now?

So I've always wanted a Porsche with gold wheels. But I had always enjoyed the dark gunmetal center of my ccw's. Well I needed to get them widened and they needed to be refinished....so I said **** it and went the unconventional route.
