One month anniversary 02 996TT

Its been one month since I picked up my first Porsche (actually my second...had a 97 Boxster for a couple months 12 years ago) After almost 30 years of owning and racing Japanese sports cars (RX7's, Supras, NSXs) I made the leap. I am very happy with my decision.

She's an 02, one owner Gray/ Black with 40K miles. Car is bone stock other than the wheels. I am itching to start making changes...

I will do a little more research and then get started.

Suggestions?

I know so many people that have moved from Rx7s to 911 turbos (including me), it's a natural progression I think haha.

Welcome! The car looks really nice.

I suggest doing a boost leak test, fixing leaks, then getting a Cobb AP and exhaust. Then prepare to be bit by the mod bug!

Integral will become famous soon enough
hah, yep, i had an FC turbo II and then bought a relatively stock FD R1 and heavily modded it to 400whp. it was never reliable, shocker!

so glad i made the switch, you will be too.

enjoy it! get a tune, exhaust, bbi slave conversion, new clutch, and enjoy the hell out of it for a long time!

There are a lot of Supra converts on this board. I bought a 1993 FD RX7 R1 new and kept it for 98,000 miles (300whp). I then owned a 95 Supra (400whp) and a 97 Supra (540whp) before moving over the the 911 (515whp).

Welcome to the club and let the tuning begin.

Later, Steve

Congrats, gotta love another seal gray over black. I did exhaust, tune, sway bars, shifter, wheels, and some maintenance and couldn't be happier. What a fun car to drive!

Totally off topic but I need to meet you - I'm only a few miles away in Bridlewood and have the same incurable affliction as you.
