Battery disconnected and emergency hood release not working
So, I took my 04 TT out of storage today and I'm having a rough time opening the hood. I've tried the emergency hood release method via the fuse box several times with no result. The negative terminal of the battery is disconnected (vs just a dead battery) so I think this is why the emergency release isn't working. Any suggestions? I've searched for the last hour but haven't been able to find a solution.

unless its been relocated the cable is run under the bumper . theres also a cable under the d/s rear tailight for the back decklid. can you get the rear decklid open? theres a main jumper right next the oil filter. jump from there and hit the inside frunk switch

Will I be able to jump it if the negative terminal of the battery upfront is disconnected? I can't get the decklid open, but maybe I'll search for a way to manually do that so that I can access the manual line under the tail light (might be easier than accessing the cable under the bumper)

rear bumper is easier to remove than the front. if you shine a light up behind the license plate area you might be able to see the cable. if not take it off an pull it. cheaper than a tow. front removal requires the decklid to be open to get to the screws under the weatherstrip

I would definitely check the rear left tail light first, shine a light in between the bumper and the tail light, see if you see a thin metal wire, try to go in hook the wire with for example a coat hanger to pull it out. Just be careful to not scratch the paint. The wire has a little loop on it. Try this before having your car towed.
