OEM 18" spare tire w/ 19" wheels
If you turn the PSM off, can the 18" spare tire be used if you are running 19" wheels?

yea, don't know. I have never had to use the spare and have never measured it inflated.
Anyone know the OD of an inflated OEM spare tire?

I ditched my spare when i found it wouldn't inflate. I now carry a jack, a tire repair kit, and a small air compressor. As long as the flat is not due to damage on the sidewall, or rim, I can always limp home.

Thanks for the replies.
I do carry a tire repair kit, so my first move in the event of a flat would be to plug and inflate. I have the original brakes, so that should not be an issue fitting the spare.
It looks as though OEM tire diameters are:
25.1F
25R
And what I will have with 19's is:
25.5"F
25.2"R
Pretty close. I'm thinking the spare would probably be OK to get the car to service. Any thoughts?

I am moving into a set of 19" wheels/tires and trying to determine if the spare tire can be used when running the 19's. If not, I would rather ditch the weight and carry plugs. If it will work, then I will keep it in the car...

Also, the two remaining 315/25/19 tires are the T1 and the Invo. The Invo is the better tire but they both have mushy sidewalls. I'm considering trying the Invo but this is why everyone is switching to the 305/30 rear with a slightly mismatched 245 front.

T1 and Invo are the same tire ultimately. Nitto designs their tread pattern for "looks" while Toyo is more for "function". But if I remember correctly (i use to work for Toyo), the compounds are identical.

T1R is listed as 280 where the invo has both 260 and 220 ratings depending on which one you choose. Either way, I'm going to get us all quality Continental CS6 tires from Europe in a bit so the 315/25 problem will be solved.
