You guys were dead on - shop came and picked up my car today and the bearing in the water pump is failing. They are replacing the water pump and also the belt since they have to remove it anyway - don't need plugs or coils or anything else that would save me some money on labor. They are going to check the T stat while they are there but not anticipating needing a new one - also checking hoses.
