RENNWORX GT3,

Great information and product. If only, you mentioned this 2 months ago, before i had placed the order for my RG5 wheels. On the other hand, i guess i also adore the RG5's. Lets have more info. whenever it is available.

Alex(Sharkster),

I guess you can't be more patient huh ???

I answered my own question. $8800, plus shipping, plus an extra charge for any color spokes besides black or silver.

so who's gonna be the first person to own the most expensive set of street wheels on 6speed?

You two clowns don't count You're getting them for cost and probably writing them off as a biz expense.

I want to know who's gonna be the first 6speeder to pony up and pay retail for these?

i've made a couple phone calls. supposedly these are designed for street duty so there shouldn't be any shattering. i know there have been issues with carbon and magnesium motorcycle wheels used on the street. however, from what i have been told, these get the green light for the street.

i have to wonder why they don't have TUV approval though. TUV approved products are usually pretty sound.

There is a BMW team in the UK running them this season. The Carbon Fiber does not shatter it craks like an aluminum wheel would show a spider type crack They impact test was done on these and they did not show any fatigue until over 1,000 lbs from a 30 foot incline hit the lop front of the lip. They are actually stonger and take impact better than a conventional aluminum wheel.

The BMW M3 runs in the BRITCAR CHAMPIONSHIP and is driven by David Leslie and Harry Handkammer.

The "problem" with CF is that the strength is not in all directions (dimensions). Of course it is very strong in designed directions (hence the use in aerospace), but when the impact is not in the direction planned for CF can shatter. This needs to be tested well before release to the consumer market (where impact can come from unpredictable directions..strange potholes for example). I'm asking my CF experts for their opinions.

Those are just awesome. I would get them as a track-only wheel.
