Diverter Valve Install Cost

I was just going over some upgrade costs with a tuner, and he charges $270 to install diverter valves. I was shocked, I thought this would be a 10 minute deal. What do you guys pay? Or is it a DIY?

I think that's pretty high. From the write up on the ImagineAuto and EVO website it says it should take between 1.5 - 2 hours. What's the hourly rate at the shop?

It's a DIY if you have an hour or 2 of patience.
You have to take out the intake box and move some other stuff out of the way, but its not too difficult. I would think shops would charge about $150-180 for it.

The right tool and it can be done in 45 minutes. If he is a virgin then it will be 2 hours. I can do it in 20 minutes

Yes easy. You need a really long nose plier to get to some of the clamps. Good hands help as well..
