Thanks. I checked the link and it tells you how to install the battery but not which battery to install. I need the size info.

34r is the most commonly used, I believe.

I used one of those on my other car. They're nice and light.

With the 911, I went with this one for slightly longer life:

http://www.tempestbatteries.com/html/bab26-12.html

To 10.5 volts, the Odyssey PC680 is rated at 15.4 Amp Hours. This one is rated at 36 Amp Hours, more than 2x the capacity:

It weighs 14.99 lbs too, exactly the same as the PC680.

alevine is on a distinguished road
What does the additional amperage do? Does that make it last longer? Please forgive my ignorance, I know nothing about batteries? Did you order the Tempest online?

Thanks,
Adam

Yeah, I got it from their online distributor. The link is on their website. I used the Odyssey SAE posts (about $11 shipped), but there are probably cheaper and easier choices at your local auto parts store.

The additional amp hours allows the vehicle to sit longer between drives without a battery tender. At 14.99 lbs and 36 Ah to 10.5v, it's actually reasonably good considering the competition. For instance, the bigger Odyssey PC925 battery at 26.0 lbs is rated at 26 Ah to 10.5v. To get more Ah out of an Odyssey, you'd need to step up to the PC1200 at 38.2 lbs and 39.5 Ah.

Thanks guys I went with the Optima D34 Yellow top. I used my motorcycle battery tender attached to the battery leads to keep from having to get radio codes.
