What Exhaust to buy - EP, Fab, CG, AWE...?

My GT2 had a Gemballa G96.11104834E Sport Export exhaust on it until recently. An unfortunate incident (rolled backward into a tall curb) completely F'd up the exhaust (as well as the dirvers side rear wheel and bumper), so I'm shopping for a replacement on my insurance companies dime (the bright side of the story).

Anyway, sound is important to me as well as flow. I really liked the note from the Gemballa, it was loud under hard acceleration, no drone, and aggressive sounding even when just "daily driving". I'm interested in getting something similar but reducing more backpressure at the same time. I listened to the Europipe sound clips and I like the high pitch exotic sound, but what do they flow like? I also listened to the Fabspeed clip, but I don't know if that's their "new" exhaust or the old version.

I live in So.Cal, so if anyone in the area has a car I could visit and listen to that would be very helpful.

Any recommendations are WELCOME.

Here's a few sound bites of my car before. You probably have to right click and "save as". These are Real Player files:

Hi,
I live in Huntington Beach and have the CarGraphic "loud" exhaust. I love it. It's not that loud really and sounds great under acceleration. I noticed a difference in spool up time after it was installed. I'm out of the country for the next nine days but anytime after that is fine with me. Let me know, I'll take you for a ride.

I love my EP, but also like the PSI. May want to check that one out. Probably my 2nd choice after EP.

Isn't the PSI made by EP? That's what I was told...

I'm honestly not sure. That would be interesting if true. Regardless, both have a different (but great) sound, and both are great works of craftsmanship.

Bodybag,

SANDOVAL has my previous PSI quiet for sale. Europipe as a company is
still not happy over the way PSI copied the design of Europipes racing
exhausts. This exhaust is not quiet and IS aggressive and demands
authority at WOT. My wife could not handle it so I sold it to Eric and
bought a EP2 Quiet. Pm me for any questions if you want.

PSI pipes ARE NOT made by EP.
They do share the same type of tip attachment.

Dont ask me how I know all of this.

Fast Eddie: are you getting back into the GT2 World ?

In a word MILTEK!!!! The sound is just right for me.

Do yourself a favor and listen to as many different models as possible before you make a decision.

3 TT's with Europipe so guess what I recommend. EP all the way. Had the Stage2 loud on 2 coupes and now the Stage 1 on the cab. Unbelievable quality, excellent sound quality (like a Pcar should), and no drone. If you don't want headaches or worse if you take your lady out with you won't have her whineing about the drone. Nobody needs to hear whine and drone together.

The sound under acceleration on the Stage 2 loud is fantastic and turbo spool up much faster. Of course this is my experience and opinion so look at many like I did and make the best choice for you.
Good luck
JS

EP is absoluetly #1 for sound. Switzer is #2 and I really like Marskis exhaust also.

I have a EP and the only problem is the 2.76 inches gets a touch restrictive when you start to make big (over 650whp) power.
