I disconnected my battery and need the radio code. I understand i need to pull out the radio to get the serial number?
Is there a special tool? or how to?

ARI -- below are links to Renntech.com threads on retrieval of the CDR-210 and CDR-220 serial numbers without having to remove the radio. I hope they help.
This happened to me before.. If you call the dealer, you have to fax them a copy of your registration and driver's license. Best way is to walk in and they can give you the radio code immediately. Hope this helps.
Thanks! Everyone. As cool as the engine sounds, it's just not the same without Markski's music!

Does this go for the SatNav equipped cars as well? An RAC guy told me that if you turn the ignition on, then disconnect the battery, when you reconnect it you won't lose any codes.
Can anyone confirm this?
I'm about to replace my batt with an Optima. Is there anything else I should be wary of - bypassing alarm, etc...?
