Thoughts on the Samco Porsche 996 turbo silicone boost hoses
Hi Guys
I am just trying to be pro-active on my mod curve, I just had the FVD stage 2 kit done, and the car is now feeling right. I would like you thoughts on the Samco Silicone Turbo hoses, I have seen a few different name brands out there, but these seem to be a good deal , any advise would be great, I hate spending $$ twice on the same thing.
Thanks!

Historically speaking, it doesnt get any better than Samco silicone hoses. In fact I am considering 'paying twice as much' by getting a set of those instead of what i currently have.

Just make sure that the hoses have a stronger connecting end than the stock hoses. When the stock hoses fail, its almost always the connection and not because of the material deteriorating.
I am trying to get a hold of you to purchase a red hose kit, I might as do the DV while im in there, Can you PM with a number, the 1-888 number is not working from Canada
Thanks in advance
Paul

Crazy prices for a set of rubber hoses, imho, I'm going to fab up some aluminum tubes with Wiggins clamps at the ends, now that will take care of the problem forever.,cheers, Sonny.

have fun when you get heat soak with all that aluminum.
theres a reason why silicone is used and it's not rubber. just to cnc/machine the hose end fittings take some time. the silicone is pre fitted and bent to the correct angles. have fun bending alu tubes. the time it will take you to fab up just the tubes will be worth more than the price of the entire si set. then you still have to machine the fittings.

Why doesn't anyone do stainless steel braided hoses like the brake lines? All the guys with custom rods do stainless steel radiator hoses.

I know, I buy them all the time!, but, it is not that much a question of cost as it is of reliability and durability, best, Sonny.

You say it's not a matter of cost, but you say crazy price for a set of hoses!!!
They are only $795 dude, think yourself lucky, Porsche parts for you guys are rediculously cheap in the US, infact I have noticed sometimes nearly half price compaired to what we pay here!
