Mike, myself and Samco went to a lot of trouble to get these right! I must have had them on and off (different sets) 12-15 times. The hoses are outstanding quality and the connections are now spot on. These connections were a pain in the ass, i'm sure some companies use the same size of connection but I will tell you now the Y pipe has a tighter fit compaired to the Intercoolers, but we got it perfect in the end!

Glad your happy mate!

Thanks Mike.....I agree on the clips /clamps and will see if I can source a new set. Also, would like to see a pic of your work when completed work.....thanks.

Guys, the pics are uploaded above, and I am done with the car... I took it for a test ride tonight and I have to admit, It is a totally different animal. I have to preface this by answering the fact that I had issues with codes prior to this instal, and had the car in the shop, where they replaced the MAS, and then didn't address the p1101 and P1249 codes... In doing the Fpipe install, I noticed that the twin vacuum hoses come off the diverter valves and go down to a Y and then to a controller valve... that line wasn't fitting snug at all and it was probably leaking under pressure... Not to mention the factory hoses looked pretty weak and tired... This car only has 13K miles on it, and has been modified since the first 6 months after the previous owner bought it new. My guess is that the hoses were due for a change, and these hoses connect SOOOO much better. The car FEELS faster, seems to build 1.2 bar boost quicker, and hold max boost longer... Could it be the hoses? Could it be the fix on the diverter valves???

Could it be a little of both???

Best $800 I've spent... Next step is to get the upsolute tune OFF the car, and get the Computer to UMW for some of Kevin's magic!

Mike

See sig and the modified muffler thread for what just the basic stuff from UMW does. I am happy. ...best of luck. He only puts stuff out for porsche turbos....and I think that matters. JB

Yup, Apparently Confused isn't so... Confused!

I updated the first post with links... Let me know if you need further clarification... Looking back on the install, I could have NOT removed the inner fender liners or the rear lights... Would have needed to loosen the lights, but no need to remove them...

I've driven the car for two extended periods since the completion of the instal on Thursday night, and every time I drive the car, I'm giddy! This thing ROCKS!!!

Don't let the lucky guess fool ya

Hard to tell from the pics but are there any clips that can be replaced with say a good t-bolt clamp?

Nice work and keep on being giddy!

Yup, At the turbo flange you could do a Tbolt, although the clamps the previous owner installed seemed to do the trick...
