Just had 60,000 mile service (going to 100,000)

I just had the service done and it is running better than ever, never had many problems except a Maf here and there. I am still on original brake pads and clutch. Man, rear Pilot's got expensive.

Hey, that's fantastic! So what year is your car and did you buy it new or used. So is it safe to assume that you use it as a daily driver?

I'm personally glad to hear it's been relatively bullet-proof. I'm planning on keeping me for awhile as well.

It is great to hear about the reliability of these "supercars." Especially since I am on the quest to find one!

It is an 01 that I bought in the spring of 03 with 8,000 miles. It had the Porsche Pre owned warranty and was in flawless condition, Artic Silver. It is now a stage 2, with an EVO intake with all work performed by Champion Porsche and Champion Motorsports (winner of the 24 Hours of Lemans a few years ago). It has been modded for a few years now. It is my daily driver. I always warm it up before pushing it and let the car idle for around a minute or two before shut down. It has been bullit proof, but the upkeep is pretty high if you service it at the dealer which I do. There are no Imagine Autos down here or any of those gurus, so I keep it at the dealer, the service manager and the dealership treats me great.

There are so many great deals out there that you should grab one. You can get 120,000 dollars of performance for half that, the car was so ahead of its time, it is only now that other makes are catching up.

57,000 + on mine and running great! Had the trans rebuilt a year ago due to 2nd gear pop-out and slave cylinder, headlight switch, door regulator all replaced under extended warranty. Of course clutch was swapped on my dime as it was gone. What gets done on a 60,000 mile service?

38k miles on mine and loving it. O2 sensor and headlight switch under extended warranty; rear tires and maintenance on my dime. Thats it! It is bullit proof for any age but especially for a 2001.

58,000 on my MY 2003. Two MAF's, one clutch actuator, one alternator, daily drive, two sets of plugs, DIY oil and filter changes every 7,000 miles. No modification other than drilling bypass holes in the exhaust. Just had the 60,000 mile work done on it. Runs as strong as the day I got with 12,000 miles. Love these 996 turbo's!!!

Also curious about this since it's a pretty safe bet that I'll have to pay it after getting my future 996TT...most of the cars I'm looking at are in the 40k to 55k mileage range. LOL.
