Help- porsche CDR-220 radio

My radio (power) did not turn on today. The CD still loads and ejects (not sure if that is mechanical or electric). Does anyone have any suggestions or know what fuse the radio is? Would it still be able to take in a CD without power, thanks in advance, ritchie

Is it asking for the code on the display?

If you had the battery disconnected, then you will need a code for your CDR. It sounds like it is getting power, so something else...what model/year car?

If it will take a CD it's getting power to drive the servo motor. First guess from my end is that the unit has died. There is a good shop in the Carolina's called SouthEast Stereo I think. They advertise in Panorama. I've used them before and thought they were fair on price and turned the unit around in a hurry. You need the fork/blade shaped pullers to get the unit out and I don't know where you can get them other than the dealer. Maybe some other shop will pull it for you if that needs to be done.

consider a ferrari head unit

An aftermarket head unit may be your nest option.

However, If you're going to replace with a factory unit, becker also supplies the same unit for some ferraris and they play MP3s. The downside is that it will say ferrariu when you start the car...
