In my opinion, there are three issues with how the Sale announcement was handled.

1. the origional post was a little mis-leading calling it a sale without posting the list price. In fact it was free shipping that was being offered which I can't believe is being properly valued.
2. Posting for sales on the forum. I thought this was not allowed.
3. He bumped his own post.

I feel that a vendor can charge whatever they want and it is up to each individual to decide whether it is properly priced. Further more if you are going to put yourself out on a bullitain board you need to be prepared for feedback, good or bad. I think many on this board are tired of the Porsche tax and are responding accordingly.

searching around and asking around the official price for the SC are what VF is stating.... but it's up to the vendor to ease the price difference... i think now with the economy, porsche tax, weak dollar, and the INCREASING GAS prices, it's going to take a lot more then free shipping and $500 off on later orders that is above $1500 which is going back to you to move porsche owners to depart $10K from their pockets.... and we need to find install as well, which will run on an average about $3K....... can you give a great deal on some GB.... but i really mean a GREAT DEAL.......?

I kinda have to agree with the MAJOR point on us older 996 owners. I have an 01 C2 cab and a SC would be a DREAM.

But...yeah $10.5 for the kit, install, tax etc I am looking at around $14-15K while I can barely sell the car for low to mid $30K right now is very very hard to digest. Sigh....tough times.

So the new V3 is out? I don't see it on the Vortech website.

Sweet and what about engine/fuel management? Is that a pre-loaded map?

The mapping is all handled by the reflashed ECU from GIAC.

Simply put and to the point.

Why not just tell it like it is? - Just say, free shipping on orders until whatever date. I don't think anybody would care if it was stated that way. Anyway, I just get tired of having to sift through the BS from "vendors." When I find someone who is initially honest, its such a breath of fresh air. I think I've said enough. To all who get the Supercharger - can't wait to hear your stories. I've had the 996 for a little over 5 years and love it everyday I drive it; a supercharger would make it soooo much better. Cheers.

Wouldn't that be $11,500 + free shipping = $11,500 SALE price?

Install is going to be super simple on the V3's, I already have the 3rd radiator though.
