Post Your High Mileage Porsche

just to bring this post up again.....
And to get people turn these beautiful machines into "real" dds.
I myself was not driving it much for few years. Over last 2 years though, i am enjoying the ride to and from work. I look forward to the day i will use my 996 '99 c2 to and from work. And as i go on the highway, man it is a great ride.
To cut it short:
153000 km.
Last major service at 135000 km. I bought it in 2008 with 109000 km. Don't know of any major issues before i bought in canada.
Still planning to drive it couple of months before going to the dealers.
Wish me luck guys, i am planning to break the 200000 km before selling it....

Thought I'd give an update on my 2002 Porsche C4 cab .
I now have 127k miles on it , and just had it serviced . ( About $200 - just needed an oil change and cabin filter, or something )
Have the hardtop on for the winter. Being all wheel drive it has no issues with snow and bad weather.
Very reliable and quite comfortable year round. ( my old '89 Targa was a little less comfie in really hot or cold weather, and a firm ride )
I would have many more miles on it, if it were not for the Macan S I received in May '14.
Now its hard to decide what to drive to work!
Already closing in on 10K on that one, too.
Porsches are meant to be driven!

@Porsche911 You lucky sob. I had to rebuilt the engine at 103k and the trany at 117k. Then I was forced to sell it. Not by choice. So right now there is another lucky sob driving around with an amazing car.
I was driving it as a DD for about 900 miles a month. Highway, city streets, canyons you named it, if it was paved I was on it.

I do consider my self lucky (thank God) as I get to drive this much a day on a highway. Many people around the world get to spend similar amount of time commuting to and from work in crowded, stop n go, packed subway metros or so.
Actually, resisting the chance to get a job near my house -mainly to enjoy the ride few more months or years! (But don't tell that to my mrs)

Not at all, I've never rubbed and they are 19X12 they are even bigger than the standard 11 in the rear that most rims come in. I have the coilovers set so the body sits just at the top of the tire in the rear. I attached a pic, it's kinda hard to see but if you zoom in on the picture you can see how low it is in the rear and the front.
Nice i have the same wheels and they look great. Nice 911 BTW.....

My 03 C4S is still going strong and it's my DD. I just had an oil analysis done by Blackstone and here's what they had to say:
"You used the same 4,000-mile oil use interval that our universal averages are based on, but your Porsche's engine made less metal than typical for this type of engine. That means your 3.6L H-6 is wearing better than most others of its kind, and what's not to love about that? The metals are all in proper balance as well. The low silicon and insolubles readings show excellent air and oil filtration, and no coolant, water, or excess fuel dilution was detected. The bottom line as we see it: you're past the 100,000-mile mark, and this motor continues to wear like a champ."
I'm pretty happy with that!
