Yes they are. but if you wear a lot of dress shoes (non rubber soles) may wear the finish on the heel part of the gas pedal. I wear sneakers to work (the wonders of advertising) and any scratches on the surface will be taken care by my friend with the bead blasting machine.

Have you looked at...

www.proclipusa.com? I have used their stuff in the past and have the ipod holder on order for my Carrera. Great quality. You pay more for it but the stuff is sweet.

Here is what my setup will be. I will take some pics next week. Proclip mount for 80gig ipod connected through aux adapter into Becker CDR-220. I also bought a wireless remote control for the ipod from Scosche. This thing is slick, you can take the remote out of the steering wheel mount and use it in the garage to play the ipod or the passenger could take it and be DJ on a roadtrip.

I have tested everything, just waiting on the mount to get it in the car and take pics. Here are some links:

Good luck!

that wireless remote looks very cool!! - how does it attach to the radio? Currently My ipod connects via a 3.5mm Aux jack in the front of the radio. I dont think this would work for me

It has a pass-through connector that plugs into your Ipod connector at the bottom. You can then plug back any charger or adapter into the Scosche connector. It's really slick. I bought it at Target in the automotive aisle.

I haven't had it that long but from the playing around I have done with it, it seems to work pretty well. Mounts pretty firmly on the steering wheel.

I don't see any reason it wouldn't work for you and worse case, return it to Target!

No problem, let me know how it works for you. As I said, still evaluating it myself.
