996 C4S Exhaust

Would like to add performance and sound to my "04 C4S. It's a dedicated track car so switch would be good but not required. I have a quote for $3,300 for Milltek headers plus Milltek cat-back, but not sure this is the right answer. Anyone know MillteK? Other ideas?

I remember first seeing Milltek around 2002 when they were making exhausts for Audi/Vw... sold through "Strasmosphere (??)". Anyway, they looked like very well made exhausts - I never heard one live, but the sound clips on all of the Audis sounded terrific... and I know people were very happy with them. Not sure about their products in the Porsche space though...

having lamborghini owners come up to you after a run and tell you your car sound sick is usually a good sign =)

sharkster, how significant is the difference between the cargraphic loud and medium sound? Is it a partial bypass design, or different cans?

thanks.

if it's a dedicated track car, I would say do headers, 100 or 200 cell cats and muffler bypass(saves the most weight). I'm sure that is going to be LOUD, but it's a track car.

But if you have sound limits at some of your local tracks, then Tubi...

I test drove a car with PSE, it sounded great, but I'd rather loose a few pounds in the rump.

Does anyone know the estimated weight savings a Tubi/Cargraphic has over stock (non-PSE).

I'm not too sure, but I think you save about 25-30lbs with the Tubi.

I too am using the C4S for more of a track car than a street car at this point, but since one of my local tracks has a sound limit of 94 or 92dbs, I muffler bypass isn't a option. The Tubi has a GREAT sound. Cargraphic was my second choice.
