It was my ground wire. Unfortunately I tugged a little to hard and it came out of the clip. I think if I can remove and reinstall the clip, I'll be good to go.
Which iPod are you using? I have the nano 4G - a few posts ago, Euclid said it wasn't compatible. I can get music through, but it doesn't seem to charge; I checked and rechecked the splices and they're all connected. I think my solution is to get an older iPod, but before I do, I want to check with someone to find out which one they have and confirm that the kit does indeed keep it charged.
Thanks,
Rudy

Okay, okay - disregard my last post. I see what the difference is - and that's the 4G nano is 5V vice 12V for the older versions. Scosche makes an adaptor that converts down to 5V to allow compatibility and charging. I just picked one up and everything works as expected. The "search" function is alive and well - which is where I found the answer to this one...

I am finally getting around to doing this. Could you PM me ordering instructions?
Thanks...

FYI to all installing. I picked up the kit a month or so ago and just installed yesterday. It is a nice kit and the instructions are good, but missing one important point. Sorry if this has been mentioned before, but anyone with a cd changer installing this has to remove the plug in the back of the radio, PLUS the connectors at the changer itself. Just disconnecting the plug at the radio will not allow the radio to go into the aux mode. The instructions list disconnecting the CD changer plug at the radio, but not at the changer.
Euclid, you may want to add that to the instructions. Again, sorry if this has been covered, but I spent about an hour till I figured this out. The info may help someone out. Otherwise the install is very quick and the directions are very good.
I have a '01 Cab and I had a similar issue installing the PIE kit which closely resembles this one. The one thing that was not in their instructions either, but is shown in the install pics by Euclid is the fact that the green plug in the middle must be disconnected so that the Becker unit does not keep reverting back to the CD changer and attempt to access the discs. With the green plug connected, the unit will only temporarily play the iPod until it realizes there is no cd there and then revert back to the radio; it will not show or stay on the AUX only selection. Only the new blue connector and the original yellow connector are to be used. If you do this, you won't have to connect the wires at the changer.
My R&D for iTouch and iPhone (3G), basically ALL newer iPod/iPhone devices, is nearly complete.
I have assembled a working prototype, I should be able to start ordering parts and assembling some next week.

Any updates? I've got a 3GS that I'd love to be able to listen to in the car!
