Anyone w/ Litronics please (99-01 C2)

The 'city lights' are on when the headlights are on. (you know = that tiny bulb next to the Halogen high beam). They defeat the look of the Litronics (Xenon) IMO. What do you people do? I can remove the bulb and it fixes the problem, but I wonder what others' do?
Thanks,

By the way, this is for a 99-01 C2 Carrera

Are you pulling the switch out when you turn the lights on, enabling the fogs?

Otherwise, all mine does is complete the circle @ the litronics lense with an acccent type white bulb.

I may have confused some people here.

Let me start again.

I have a 99-01 C2 Carrera w/ Litronics. The 'city-lights' (H6W - Halogen bulbs) come on when the Litronics are switched on. They cast a very yellow hue in the blueish lights. Are those 'city-lights' supposed to come on with the Litronics on?

I removed the H6W bulbs and, of course, the yellow is gone.

Yes, the city lights come on when any lights are turned on, whether parking lights or the headlights. I had the same problem as you and here was my solution: http://forums.rennlist.com/rennforum...ferrerid=55786

For some reason I only posted a thread on rennlist instead of 6speed about my upgrade. They are leds that can be had for 16 bucks or so from www.42draftdesigns.com. They look amazing and match the color output of my Litronics wonderfully. However, be forewarned that my first pair burned out in a little over half a year. The company said they had malfunctioned and sent me a new pair free of charge promising that the same thing would not happen again. So far they are still working well.

TMAC will become famous soon enough
I need to do this as well. I have purchased a lot from this company in the past for my VWs so I can say they are a good company to deal with.
I hope to see some pics from people soon.

Glad to find everyone happy with their lights. These are miles better than the blue tinted bulbs that must be shipped from Europe, which are the only other alternatives if one is looking for a whiter light to match the HID low beam.

What about the "driving/fog" lights, any options for a white light from those instead of the yellow? Make sense?

I have read that some people have replaced the stock fogs with bulbs that are closer in color to the litronic bulb but I never bothered since I only use my fog lights when it is actually foggy out. Best of luck however, if you search you will find what you are looking for.
