I have the EVO V-flow Ram Induction CAI system. Evo recently released an improved flow "DRY ELEMENT" (NO OIL). They are extremely proud of it and asking $79.00 + ship.
Does anyone know where to pick this filter up at a discount?

I picked up the New "Dry" Filter last month... its called "SYNTHAMAX" and EVO said it replaces both the Current Dry and Oiled filter they have... Performance and Air Flow is the same as Oiled Filter but its a Dry filter... The Pervious Dry Filter were great but the Air Flow was less than a Oiled Filter.

only place to get those filters is a EVOMS Dealers at Retail Price... $80USD is not bad for a filter that lasts for a very long time... after all you drive a Porsche...

What are the advantages to a dry filter other than no MAF errors?
Some may think this is huge but I have not have any trouble rotating 2 recleaned and reoiled filters every 6mos or so w/o MAF issue...they also cost 80 bucks each. (there is a correct method to oiling)
Also it looks like besides the 80.00 a dry filter will cost you also need to spend another 45.00 for the filter cover that EVOMS recommends with a dry filter to filter more crap out from getting in. Sorta a first defense to dirt particles...
Dry filters also do not let as much air in with the filter cover. The specs say they are the exect same filter as the oiled but w/o oil. So clean your oiled filter and it is dry right?
I went thru this same exercise to find the exact match oiled filter from K&N filters and could never verify a exact match....K&Ns are 1/2 the price
