erasing the code for over rpm limiter

Is there any software that is available to erase the code for exceeding high rpm limiter, without porsche finding out?

Why would you want to do this?

I would wonder the same thing as to motive. In answer to the question though (and i have never checked this specifically so i cant say with certainty) but i believe when reflashing the ecu with performance software, the over-rev counter will be reset as a flash erases all of the data on the ecu and then writes new data to the ecu. When finished the flash counter is typically set to 0 by the serial suite (esentially it looks like the car has only been flashed once- the first time it was put in service). It would be logical that the over-rev counter also would be reset to zero. There would only be one way to test that theory though.

Just in case i would ever have a engine problem, that porsche would say it was my fault for over revving the engine or a missed shift.

Porsche will not care about Type I overrevs. Just Type II. Besides, if you miss a shift, the least of your worries is Porsche finding out.

Are there any over-revs now? If not, wouldn't it be your fault if you over-reved or missed a shift?

The thing I don't like about this is if you sell the car and someone does a PPI, will you tell them you erased the data for over revs? If you do tell them, they will probably wonder what else you did and why. If you don't tell them, it's wrong. That's a no-win situation.
