Oil Gauge level

Where should it be at idle? I'm right at 2, is that too low to run on?

Cool

Mine normally drops to around 2 at idle when oil is hot.

As long as it goes up as your RPM's increase, you are prob fine.

And just to be clear for other readers. This is not a "gauge level" (as in how much oil do I have) but it is representing the oil pressure...

~2 at idle is normal, goes up as RPM goes up...

Hum ,
I'm pretty sure that the needle doesn't have the ability to represent the oil level. I can't find anything to that effect in the owner's manual either.

I thought I remembered a needle to show the level on 993 but pretty sure it's not on a 996...

The 993 gauge is the same on the 996 as it represents the oil pressure

not the gauge to the right, but the oil level indicator that comes up on the screen just left of the oil pressure gauge on the bottom
