Markar, how do you think your car compares against the New 991 911 performance wise? Are you as fast as a 996 Turbo?

I have a SC'ed 996 and got to play with a new 991S not too long ago - I was pretty amazed with how slow it actually was. We did a full on run up to about 130 and it wasn't even close. He had his HOT date riding shotgun, it was pretty funny to see the look on his face at the 1st light, by the 2nd he wouldn't even look at me.
I'd imagine the 991 turbo will be a different story but as it currently stands the 997 turbo can't keep up either. Your turbo should be a similar story.

i just took my supercharger off to try the tpc system, should be an interesting comparison. i was running 7.7lbs of boost wth the supercharger, will be just under 6lbs with the turbo. will keep you posted...

Wow, with the VF kit I'm running 5.5 and it seems like plenty. I can't even imagine 7+, must have been a bat out of hell. How much HP did you have? Maybe it's time for a pulley swap when the 991 turbos come out…

Not sure what the horsepower was, its been on a couple of different dynos and I've seen anywhere from 323bhp to 400+ I know I could pull away from 996gt3's and 997 gt3's on the track but I guess that depends on how good the driver was in the other cars. Been smoked by slower cars also LOL It was def fast.

Nice story I believe the 991 part, however beating a 997 Turbo no way bro. Have you seen quarter mile and 1 mile times? They are way faster then a supercharged 996 even though weight is an advantage you have to apply the power to the ground correctly this is where all wheel drive takes it at launch.

Believe it big guy. Few things, first, they were rollimg starts. Second, I didn't say the supercharger was the only mod. Anyway the 997 has 480hp, VF rates their kit on an '02 at 470 which puts me in the ballpark with the weight advantage....and that's IF that was the only mod.
Check out the boards, read justatoys posts about his SC'ed 996 - I'm not the only one making the claim.
