Headers 98-04 Porsche 911 996 Carrera/GT3 Are you familiar with this brand? P

I bought a set of headers on ebay for $150 a couple of years ago just out of couriousity. I dynoed before and after, 2000 tip lost tq and hp at lower rpms. Put stock headers back on. I believe the Porsche design isn't as glamorous as these shinney ebay headers but that they have been engineered to maximize performance. Considering what Pcars cost Porsche engineers wouldn't have cheaped out on the design or function to save money. It cost the same to weld a pipe one way or another. It's all marketing to pull on the Pcar addiction to change things up. Similar the the chrome addiction on Harleys. I started a 12 step program for Harley riders "Hi my name is JW and I am a chromoholic."

There's some high quality aftermarket headers that give you a minimal gain. Should not be the first thing done to the exhaust though. You can get more additional power by doing 100/200 cell cats or mufflers or even air intake. Headers should be last thing.

Is interesting how many of you guys have different opinion about headers, anyways I do have a full set of Fabspeed mufflers and x-pipe with oval tail pipes installed and also an Intake Kit - EVO V-Flow Induction System, with orginal the cat-mufflers.
Schnell Headers are not some cheap ebay reproduction. :-)

Thanks brother for the offer, these Schnell Performance Headers are 854.99 and I got them for 299.00 I'll install them tomorrow and I'll let you know. Your OBX purchased was a waste of money! You should have done your research! What you can do is hang them on your wall so that you can remind yourself. Or take them to Salvation Army.

Do you know the size of the primaries?
Seems like the only header designs that really work are the ones modeled after the x51 headers. However, on a M96 with stock cams, I think the x51's could be slightly too big or move the powerband up sacrificing some of the lower end.
Maxspeed has exact x51 header replicas using better materials that I've been looking at but don't want to take a chance losing low end.
