Porsche 996 Cab new color Monza Grey Magno

Yo fallas

i started 2 weeks ago with my project painting my 996 Cab in a new color.
I have chosen the color Monza Grey Magno. This is a special color from the
SLS 63 AMG and i felt in love with this paint.
So then it startet two weeks ago..My friend (Porsche Mech) stripped my car together with me and then my paint master started last week with the painting job.
I hope you like the color as I do.
Here are the first pics from this project.
Tomorrow we will built the car back together. Everything will be done except the hardtop.

Cheerio from Hamburg-city

After removing the carbon door sills we found some ugly rust under it.
That was because of the moisture what was staying under the sill and could not get out of it.
So my paint master had to do some repairing work for that...
in the meanwhile he was also fully painting this race monster 935 !!

Okay and these are the first shots after some mayor work...
the thing about matt painting is that you cannot repair bad painting jobs like a normal clear coat paint. if there is any little bug in the paint you have to paint the whole part again...no polishing with this color !!

So almost finished my car today...only the front hood and the hardtop has to be finished tomorrow.

The car looks really nice to me....next step will be my 997 Turbo Rims and those Antera wheels seen on the pics to be colored in black.

After that i plan to paint my calipers in yellow....

Ingo Noak Tuning is the manufactor of this aftermarket bumper.
You can buy them now with daylight LEDs but i dont like that on my car.
The Antera 18" wheels and my 997 Turbo wheels will be painted in black.....that will be the next step...

Love the color and you shouldn't have posted pics of the 935 as that is what I care to see more of now.

Did you fill in or smooth out extra holes in the rear bumper? I LOVE the euro bumpers without the stupid American Bumperettes but yours for some reason even seems smoother. Can figure out what it is though...

No that is the original facelift bumper in the back !!
It fits plug&play...even the cable for the pdc can be connected with the new pdc sensors. Mercedes Benz use the same kind of sensors for an older model so i got them some years ago pretty cheap on ebay cause they are runnig much more MBs then Porsche on our streets

I hated the old bumper with those ugly sensors on it !!

Thanks for the info, must be the matte finish that makes the curves seem more smooth in the back.
