Mines not the PSE but I have cat delete pipes with the fister mod exhaust and it sounds great. not too bad under 4000 rpm and real aggressive sounding above 4000 rpm.

A section of pipe is welded between the inlet and outlet pipes of the mufflers which would be like the valve being open on the PSE exhaust.

Yes my friend, me. The sound is a litle bit louder than pse hack. First mod in my car was the pse hack not the fisters.
Do the fister's hack first and if you want more sound double hack it....

OK, PSE Hack, Gundo Hack, and Fisters are the same, in so far as there is a pipe between the in and out pipe of the muffler, the PSE Sport exhaust is different because it has the ability to use both via a cut off so if you want "sport mode" it's using both out pipes, off and the pipr between the in and out is cut off.
A good sound would be a cat delete, and I'd go with this:

and use these: http://www.maxspeed-motorsports.com/minicat.html

I think he meant running both the knock cap to outlet AND the inlet/outlet mod. I believe the Gen I 996 exhaust require the inlet/outlet pipe and the Gen 2 require the knockout cap to outlet. I did both and sounds great. I sent a video to the OP.

I've run both cat delete pipes with PSE exhaust and muffler bypass with cats. Both are what I consider ridiculously loud. Muffler delete seemed slightly quieter than deleting the cats. The sound was decent and very aggressive with a pretty annoying 20-35 mph drone. If you like pissing off your neighbors its perfect

My set up right now is Fabspeed Cat deletes and Fabspeed Muffler delete. Insanely loud. I love it. I just want an alternate muffler to tone it down a bit for a change. Yes, I meant double hack. PSE and Gundo/Fister hack combined.

Mind sending me the video as well? I'm definitely interested in this setup. I'm hoping its similar to the fabspeed supercups or afterhours exhausts

Thanks
