Bucking on Deceleration

'04 C2 with 56K mileage, no mods. When driving between 45-60 and I let off on the accelerator I feel the engine buck a bit. I cleaned the throttle body recently and usually drive with RPM's around 2,500. Is this normal? Thx for any replies.

No, not normal, could be the fuel filter is starting to get clogged.

Thx for your input, but as I understand it there isn't a replaceable filter on the '04 models. I have used Techtron fuel line additive / cleaner a few times in the last 1,000 miles.

FLA996, though some about your response, and I am wondering if there is a method for cleaning the permanent gas filter? & by the way where is it located?

It's located on the right hand side, just behind the coolant tank. You'll have to remove the air box.

Wausau- is it a buck as in you let off the gas pedal and it momentarily keeps accelerating or momentarily shuts-down?

Pelican, it bucks a bit when I let off the gas, but does not momentarily acelerate. Bucks a bit when I put the gas on again. Motor mounts maybe?
But I am interested in knowing if the gas filter is replaceable or able to be cleaned somehow on a '04.

While the turbo DIY mentioned above does apply, the standard 996 does not have a similar filter.

Tough to diagnose as you've tried additive/cleaner. Motor mounts are easy to replace; you can check out our DIY on the subject here:
