You can easily control this with an adjustable suspension like PSS10s coil overs.

Are you running the stock C4S suspension?

Yes stock
Why adjustable suspension
What about tire pressures or camber and toe settings or wider tires?

No worries. I'm not sure how to mitigate it with the stock suspension. I'm sure others will chime in. Are you encountering under steer on the track?

I've never experienced it on the street in my C4S, even with hard driving. How are your tires? How about tire pressures?

Brand new potenza s02A

36 psi fronts

It should naturally understeer
They all do
It's awd after all and factory safe settings
Just wondering what people do to dial it out

It will under steer on the track, no doubt. I can't imagine too many situations in street driving where it would happen. You would have to be doing something extreme for this to happen on dry pavement.

The 996 C4S uses a viscous coupling AWD system. In almost all driving conditions, it's 95% rear and 5% front drive. This only changes if the rear wheels are slipping. The weight of the AWD system is the thing that tends to produce under steer.

With the fat rear tires on the C4S and the weight distribution, it's harder to oversteer than a C2. You can do it, but it's not the same balance as the RWD cars.

Driving flat out through 90 degree corner second gear I find it understeers pretty heavily
Enough to push into next lane over

I can see how that would do it. I suppose it all depends on your point of view, but I would certainly call that extreme for street driving. How fast are you taking this 90-degree curve? 65mph or faster? I would ge arrested if I got caught by my local police driving like that. I can only do that kind of stuff on the track.

Given that's the way you like to drive, I'd consider upgrading your suspension. Many people say it's the best bang for your buck with these cars. Coil overs are certainly one option, but you might also consider new springs, roll bars, sport shocks, etc.

Never experienced understeer even under hard driving. I would suggest coilovers and change out sway bars.
