Blew out my door speakers.

Blew out my door speakers.
So I had a stereo and 6 way amp installed and it took only 3 weeks to blow out my stock door speakers!
Found some replacements - assuming this is a good price for stock used replacements.

I did some forum research and see that some people replace their door speakers with some 'subs' instead of mids.
Does that distort the sound at all? Aren't the doors the only mids in the setup?
dash - doors - rear seats?
Thanks guys!

The OEM door speakers are small enclosure subs, not mids. If you have the HiFi option, which includes the door speakers the the stock amp separates the frequencies and send the low frequency signals tote doors.
If you were sending the full spectrum frequencies to the doors that may explain why the speakers are blown.

I ordered those stock speakers for a temporary setup right now, until I can re-do the whole system from scratch.
I appreciate your help!
