03 Coupe, Hi-Fi System and 4 Ohm Speakers?
Just got an 03 Coupe and have a stereo question.
My car has the Hi-Fi Sound (Digital) and I'd like to JUST replace the speakers.
I've read where the factory speakers are 8 Ohm but I want to use JL Audio 4" Coaxials which are 4 Ohm.
Have you done this and had no problems with the factory amp overheating, blowing the output transistors...etc ?
And to avoid some responses.....I know good audio from bad. I have Arcam, B&W...etc in my home movie/stereo system. In this car I just want a little better sound and I'm not really committed to a new HU/amp/sub or anything along those lines....yet! My son has an old Avalon and we put four of these JL Audio speakers in his car and tell you what....they really pound out some good sound....ESPECIALLY fo a 4" speaker.
