2003 996 C4S - Will the Dension unit give me BT phone capability?

Searched for an hour and the information I dig up is conflicting. So please bear with me. I have a 2003 C4S with the CDR23. All I want is to add bluetooth hands free for my phone. I don't care about NAV or any of the other modern conveniences.

Will getting the Dension unit and the optional BT unit get me what I need? I don't have any steering wheel or center console buttons for phone answer/disconnect, so how does answering and disconnecting the phone work? Thanks a lot guys,

You still have to add a hands-free kit from an aftermarket company like Motorola. I don't think you need the Dennison unit for that - your 996 should have the wiring in place to add the kit already. I had a Motorola kit in my car before I upgraded my system.

FYI - the interior of the 996 is so loud that hands-free kits aren't great...

With all the engine noise you won't be able to use a hands free effectively.

Here's a pic of my Motorola kit controller on the "batwing" before my stereo upgrade. It was attached with velcro so i didn't damage the batwing when I removed it.
