Wheel well hole

Anyone know if the hole at the back of the wheel well (half way up the shock)is suppose to be open like that. It appears that road dirt could get in there, is there suppose to be plugs in them, there's one in each front wheel well.

Not sure how the coupes work, but are those the drain holes for the sunroof drains?

I'm not sure but I think they come out down by the front lifting points under the car. Thanks.

What brand of coilovers do you have?

Its weird, I Went out too look at my Cab, and the holes dosnt exist on that one???
