2003 C4 Cab is not closing properly... cable issue?!

Hey all!

So, got this '03 about a year ago. Top always closed perfectly fine. But about 5-6 months ago, I noticed that it would sometimes get caught while closing. I would hear a "POP" and then see that the cable was closing OUTSIDE of the guide...

I know this is clear as mud, so I've posted a video and 4 pics of the issue on my website.

Any advice would be appreciated, as I have to now reach up while the top is closing and PULL that part of the top inward to keep it from catching. I can only assume its not a fun job if that cable finally breaks...!

My website (I am a TV/Film Actor, no spam or ****! ) is here:

Thanks in advance!!

There might me a slot where the cable does through on the plastic piece. I've never taken that apart to look, but i'd start there.
