Hi guys thought I would start with an introduction over here. I have been a long time member on Pelican Parts as I owned an 82 911 SC which I slowly restored while driving and having fun. Well I have now sold her with a view to getting into something more modern and having read a lot on the 996 C4S that is my car of choice and interestingly the one which fits my budget. I have located what I believe is a very clean example of a 2003 C4S at an OPC which has just a hair under 50,000kms / 30,000 miles on the clockm with full dealer history and one extremely careful and pedantic previous owner.
The car is midnight blue with full black leather interior, PSE and a few other goodies and is in immaculate condition from the pictures I have seen. I am going to look at and drive the car next week. I am hoping it is everything I am looking for as the choice in South Africa is very limited, not that there are not a lot around just that there is a lot of junk out there. Anyway below a couple of pics of the car. Hoping to be in here a lot soon.

Bought her
Hi guys bit of an update I travelled to see and drive the car on Thursday and am happy to say she checked out in every way. Runs and drives like a new car lots of power slick gearshift no issues whatsoever. Full dealer service history just had major service new clutch and tyres. So. I did the deal and she is on a transporter on her way down to me hoping to take her home Wednesday or Thursday cannot wait

Well I could not wait so flew to Durban today and picked my baby up loving her so far. Tomorrow 04:00 starting the 1600 km / 1000 mile road trip home will report back hopefully good news when home. I just love the exhaust note frickin awesome.

Good luck. That should be a fun trip.
Advice: don't go by the electronic oil gauge if you're checking the oil for the long trip. Don't be alarmed if you see milky substance under the oil cap.
Be mindful of your speed if you're not used to having a tachometer front and center.
If you stay on 6th gear most of the way, you'll be amazed at what kind of highway has mileage you can get given the performance of the car.

2. And I recently did two back to back trips. One from Pennsylvania to Georgia, and one from Georgia to South florida. I used sixth gear most of the way and was very please with the gas bill. Not that my car with any consideration for saving fuel, but was curious to see what kind of fuel/milage I could get.
3. And for a Super Car, it's outstanding.
4. Welcome to the club, great looking car. I have a 2004 C4S and I love it.

Just realized OP is from Africa so this doesn't apply. The milky white substance is from condensation from several short trips in colder temps that causes that. Has nothing to do with AOS. It happens in my BMW too in the winter.
