Muffler bypass w/ a tune?
I have had my muffler bypass pipes on for about 6 years. I LOVE the sound and will never be able to replace them, but as everyone knows there is some power loss on the low end. Curious if anyone with muffler bypass pipes have done a ECU Tune to correct the low end loss. Vivid just put out a post with a new tune and i messaged them asking the same thing. They say it will correct it,but i'd like to know if anyone has had any real world success with both mod's done. I'd hate to spend over $800 for just a slight gain.

It may correct the problem, you loose the torque because of the loss of back pressure and a tune can IMO only compensate so much. Again, IMO it would not be worth it, to me, as you make up for it at the higher RPM, it's like you really don't loose it it just changes the power band.

it does help a little...it's really smoothed out everything throughout the rpms...it's very minimal though...GIAC's the only one that can flash via obd....any other company you're going to send ecu out as you're cable driven...

Softronics, vivid, and a couple others that I forgot off the top of my head flashes via OBD

Not on a 99 C2 which is cable throttle...all other years yes via obd

forget the tune and live with the 4% power loss down low and the gain up top. The 800 is better spent getting an IPD plenum.

Ah reading comprehension owns me. Lol. Probably the reason why I ended up with a "c2" with aero-kit instead of a "gt3" since I couldn't read.

Do you have any aggresive tunes for 99 c2? 93+ octane?
I believe the standard tune you have is 91 octane?
