Hi Everyone,

I'm assuming this is a coolant leak in my 99 C4.
I took these pics just now under the engine.
Anyone have some insight on this? or can tell me what part the leak is coming from?

any help would be appreciated.

To me it looks like the gasket is worn, but for grins check your coolant tank.

 

+1 on the coolant expansion tank. I can't tell from the pics but if it's on the left side of the car I'd bet that's it. Mine went but didn't drip consistently, in fact I never identified a time it would drip and wouldn't - cold, warm, after driving hard, sometimes it would drip and sometimes not. If the tank is yellow it's a good bet it has micro cracks. Also check your coolant tank cap and be sure it's the latest version. That's a very inexpensive part and the seal can go bad.

Yup....prob the coolant tank. Mine has been leaving a lovely white residue all over the back end of the car somehow.

ECS has the tank for about $130
