Door window squeak

Hi Folks, My 1999 911 Cab, 86K miles (car is from Florida) has an issue, the PS window goes squeak, squeak, squeak both up and down. I looked at this forum and Renntech but didn't see this particular problem. My question is, has anyone experienced this noise and whether or not the issue can be solved by removing the door panel and applying lubricant to the appropriate moving parts. The window seems to move smoothly. The door to window seal seems flexible and is not causing the noise. The DS window makes no noise, moves smoothly but somewhat slowly. Any advice would be appreciated. Larry

Putting lithium grease on the moving parts will help but you need to get the guides greased, you'll need to remove the airbag to get to them if I recall correctly, but it also sounds like you may either have a bad regulator or the motor is going bad.

Window squeak

Decided to tackle the PS window squeaking. The removal of the door panel would have been pretty easy except I had to drill out the fastener under the arm rest door . . . what a pita, worst possible place. Added at least an hour. I did not peel off the foam moisture barrier . . . looked ridiculously difficult. I used a razor knife and cut the barrier just inside glue line . . . I only cut along the top and both sides, leaving the bottom of the barrier and simply folded the barrier away from the door. The speaker came out but not the air bag, I did not disconnect the door handle cable, just supported the panel on the latch side of the door. After liberally spraying the moving parts with lithium and WD-40 the barrier was put back in position and the cut line was closed up with Duct tape. All parts replaced, window tested . . . worked great, no squeak and ran smoothly, man am I happy. Took about 4 hours, next time or the DS door will be about 2 hours. I'm going to try 'waxing' the window and horizontal seal, seems a bit sticky. Used Pelican online 'door panel removal' instructions, very helpful.
