Black seats in a sav. beige interior ???
My seats are in need of replacing & I can't seems to find savannah beige seats anywhere. Are they really that rare? The upholstery shop charge like $950 a piece. Heck I can get 2 seats for less than that. I found a lot of black seats on ebay in great shape for about $600ish & under + free shipping. My question is will a black seat goes well with a savannah beige interior. I would probably get the rear sets to match also. If my car was black, I think it would be ok

Ditto. Mixing and matching to save a few bucks would be a shame. Find another upholsterer and have them done correctly. Having them refinished might be a solution as well.

I have the putty grey interior, I replaced the sport seats with Black comfort seats (only the front) and it looks sharp!! mind you I did do a few other mods (black center console, black steering wheel, etc)
I can post pics later. one of my biggest complaints was that the interior was just too bland all washed in one color.

That's just an alarm that can be set for any speed through the OBC. Yours happens to be set for 65.
You can either page through and turn it off or set if for something more realistic. Mine is set at 85 just to give me a heads up when I'm pushing it on the highway...

I don't know how bad your seats are currently, but unless they're totally trashed, refinishing is an excellent and inexpensive option. I used a kit from LeatherWorld, see here : http://rennlist.com/forums/996-forum...therworld.html Savannah Beige 941 is just about a perfect match for my interior ( my '99) - If I didn't tell you that certain things are refinished you wouldn't know it. It really doesn't take any special skills (you can wipe/blot the finish on with the included sponge rubber applicator - I also used a few other foam applicators and brushes to get into tighter spots) besides patience and attention to details (make sure you don't leave any "snots" or bubbles). Good luck

Thanks for the advices & links.
My seats are beyond repairing. I waited & ends up finding a used boxster seats for dirt cheap & like new condition. I don't know if its actually sav bge but it's close enough to matches the door panel & dash board. I'm happy with it.

Ha! They look awesome! Certainly a whole lot easier (and less messy) than refinishing!

Nice score. Do those crests come off or do they leave an indentation on the back of your head?
