I have to replace Front Inner CV joint (cage broke and damaged splined hub). Is this CV joint the same part number as the rear inner?

I was hoping to change only the joint parts and not the entire axle shaft.

I think you will have replace the axel. It is actually cheaper to get a new part, about $800. The cost of labor to rebuild the part is almost the same,
