Gundo hack or Fister D exhaust for a 2002 4S?
#2
They're essentially the same thing. I just did the Gundo to my 997.1, but was about to go with Fister, the main reason I almost got Fister was because its a "brand name" you can order. They both do the same thing. My Gundo hack cost $300. Fisters would have cost about the same, plus the cost of shipping and installation.
It's a partial muffler bypass. You end up welding a short pipe to connect the intake and outlet. It's very simple and effective. It's a very sexy sound that's not too loud. I'm told it mimics the PSE system. Personally, it's one of the best mods I've ever done. I'm pretty sure the 996 and 997.1 are set up the same, so you should expect similar results. Check my recent post, "Gundo hack in S. Florida." It's in the 997 forum.
Good luck.

I have Fister on both 993 and 996 and the sound is amazing and workmanship is top notch. Sure, an extra 50 or so to ship but consider how much we paid for our cars and 50 is insignificant
