What goes down does not go up.

What goes down does not go up.
I replaced my passenger side window regulator this afternoon. While I was reinserting the window, and making slight adjustments, the power window switch worked fine. Then, with the window in the up position, I reset the power window switch. But, when I hit the power down, the window got stuck in the down position. #@$#@! Has anyone experienced this? Your thoughts would be much appreciated.

Figured it out. Replacement 996 window regulators come with two stops attached at the bottom of the rail. Remove the top stop. I disconnected the battery (positive and negative) which cleared the memory setting, removed the new window regulator, removed the top stop, reassembled, and viola!

Don't suppose you took any pics of the set up. Thinking my window regs on it's way out and I'll have a case of dropping door glass soon as I've noticed a rattle over any slight bump and can hear and feel the glass is loose. Also squeaking rubber noise when the windows going up.
Any thoughts?

You are definitely on your way to a window regulator replacement. No pics. Did it from memory. I had an issue with the driver's side door last year. YouTube was helpful. Search: replace window regulator and door panel removal. Good luck.
