with custom 1" bypass Fister D mufflers!!!

Thanks to Darin, I have the PERFECT SOUND for a 3.4L 996 w/ K&N intake, plenum, Cargraphic 200 cell cats, and EVOMSit ECU tune.

Enjoy the battle!

I'm no expert but have read several times on forums that revving the flat six engine with no load i.e. in gear-moving is not good. I think it relates to something about piston to rod connection issues(?). Might want to do some research.

Haha, you're probably right...good thing I don't change my exhaust often.

Heads up to anyone planning to get the Fister D stock mufflers on a set-up like mine with CAI and sport cats. It is WAAAAYYYY too LOUD!!! Perfect for the track or a canyon run, but completely unlivable as a daily driver. Sound was throaty and aggressive, but amplified to an obnoxious level just cruising around. Had people rolling up their windows and pedestrians ducking for cover! Lol

Kudos to Darin for his customer service and commitment to making the customer happy. He customized another set of mufflers with smaller 1" bypass pipes instead of his normal 1.75" for FREE!! I just had to cover the shipping. This worked perfectly as evidenced in the video above. Now I finally have the ideal Fister D sound that everyone's been raving about!

So for a low flow stock set-up, the regular Fisters are fine, but for a higher flow set-up, the 1" bypass hits the sweet spot!!

Glad you found the perfect sound. FWIW, the first generation 996 PSE's only came with a 1" tube as well.

Hey thanks alpine. Yeah, I knew about the MKI PSE's. Do you have any clips of your Tubi exhaust...always wondered how they sounded with a high flow set-up like yours compared to Fisters or PSE.

As much I love all my P-Cars, I love the look and sound, drive of the GT/AMG I have been a passenger once and it truly left a lasting impression.
